The count down to our wedding is on and the bridal showers are over, with a lot of nice stuff already received. We have started to slowly combine our things to make my condo, our condo. Painting, adding and subtracting furniture to change the bachelor feel. We have even talked about changing the outside appearance by adding metal address plaques to our door and garage stall. It's nice having someone to add that feminine touch.

It may be hard for some people to believe, but in my early years I was always quite musical. I not only loved to listen to music, but also play it!! I especially enjoyed the saxophone and drums and even had my very own Pro Mark drumsticks!! I enjoyed making my own music and teaching myself how to play. I also got into playing the guitar and piano when I was a little bit older and also taught myself on those as well. The busier life has gotten, I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like, but I'm hoping at some point I'll get back into playing again.

Have you ever been to build a bear workshop? My sister invited us along while her kids and my other nephews made their own animal. I had never been there before, but thought it was a lot of fun! My nephew who is 2 was ready to give up his pacifier, so while he was making his animal, he put the pacifier inside. I really like this idea, as that way he got rid of it for good, but has something fun to sleep with in it's place. I'll remember this for my kids one day.

My fiance and I are busy with the last plans for the wedding. We love all the details, however are really just excited to get married and start that part of our life together. One fun thing we're planning is our honeymoon. It's a surprise for her where we're going so I won't share it here, however I do know that I need to start looking into orlando hotels so we're close to the airport and ready to take off to our tropical destination. I suppose with the wedding only 7 weeks away, that's something I hsould be looking into.

Work Uniforms

I work in engineering and do a lot of work behind my desk, as well as on the floor with the other workers. When I'm down on the floor supervising, I have to wear a lab coat type uniform. I don't mind it, in fact, I actually thought I wouldn't like it, but have grown to find it very comfortable. It also covers my clothes, which sometimes I don't like anyways. How about you? Do you have to wear a uniform to work. If so, how do you like it?

I used to work in a place caring for the elderly. I really enjoyed my job, even though the hours were long. I enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people with such amazing lives and stories to tell. I wasn't fond of the nursing uniforms I had to wear, but I did really enjoy my job. And, although I did not decide to pursue a job in the medical field once I finished up college, those four years of working at the care center really were some of the best of my life. Loved it!

What a great weekend. We were able to spend much of it with family which was fantastic. We met my whole family at build a bear and got to see the kids making their animals. We then went out to eat and got to discuss wedding plans. Can't believe it's only 7 weeks away!! The time is going by quickly. Can't wait!!

After Renee and I get married, we have a lot of talking to do about where we're going to live in the next couple of years. Both of us would like to move out of the midwest, and learning more about the great louisville real estate market has peeked my interest in possibly moving sooner than later. We have a lot on our plate right now with planning a wedding, but I'm definitely going to talk with her about this in a couple of months. The timing might just be perfect!

When I got on my own financially...after I was out of college, something I learned quickly is that there is insurance for pretty much anything in life. I had always been under my parents for all of my insurance, so I was pretty naive to it all. I learned fast though, and even found sites like Wholesaleinsurance.net to find the best deals on all kinds of insurance. It's just another reason why I am forever grateful for the internet and how easy it makes it to save money.

This is the time of year I would normally love an electric blanket. It's usually bitter cold and nothing feels better than snuggling up in bed with warm electric blankets. However...this year is a little different. It's not cold at all! It's been in the 60's lately and is only supposed to get nicer. Not only do I think that I"ll be putting the electric blanket away, but I also think that I'll be putting away the winter clothes as well! Yippee!

Being a bachelor it's going to be hard to get use to some of the things that will be changing in my life in the near future. With me getting married in the next couple of months, my soon to be wife will be moving into my place, and redecorating my bachelor pad. I'm sure she'll be putting all her girl touches to everything, maybe even a bedroom vanity stool for to sit down and put on her make-up in the mornings. There are going to be a lot of changes, I just hope I'm ready for them all.

When I moved into my condo it was definitely a work in progress. The people who lived here before me had a more sophisticated, old-fashioned style...where mine is a bit more modern. At some point I know I will be looking to buy a home, so that means I need to keep my place updated and ready to sell for when the time comes. Since I'm getting married this year, it very well could be this year that we sell. That's why I've been shopping a lot at Home Depot and was happy to come across home depot coupons 2012. Hopefully it will give me some good deals for the things I still need to finish.

It wasn't until I got out of college that I realized just how many different types of insurance are out there and how spendy they can be. You see, when I was in school, all of my insurance stuff was covered by my parents. Once I had a job of my own and was out of school....I began learning more about life insurance, car insurance...even things like Medical Malpractice Insurance.
There's a lot to consider and think about when it comes to insurance and I just hope I'm making the right decisions for me.

Cleaning House

While I was home for Christmas, I was talking with my brother in law. He was talking to me about how much organizing and cleaning they've been doing in their new house lately. They're trying to get rid of some things, but in the process he came across some pretty neat things from his past. Everything from sport trophies, pictures, etc. It's been fun for them to reminisce, but I know they're also happy to be getting rid of some things.

I grew up in a city that manufactures Winnebago motor homes, and majority of our city was employed there. With so many different areas within the company, from assembly to rv towing it was a way for our city to prosper. With the recent down turn in the economy there have been many cuts that have been made and jobs lost. When will the economy turn around.

I would like to think of myself as a thoughtful guy. Always looking out to cheer someone up when they are having a down day. Or purchasing something for someone who can't afford it, I like being that guy. But I want to make sure that people know who it's from, so if someone is sick I would send them personalized get well gifts to help them feel and get better. It's hard to be sick when you are happy!

Colored Ink

One of my biggest pet peeves is running out of ink when you are in the middle of printing something. And when you run out you never have the right cartridge to replace it. It always seemed to me that it was always the color ink cartridges that would run out more often than the black ink cartridges. I always make sure that I have ink on hand so I don't have to run out and get some.

First Snow of the Year!

Yesterday we experienced our first snow of the Fall/Winter. I was only a couple of inches but it was enough for me to see how my new car can handle in that kind of weather. Overall, I would have to say that I am very impressed how well it handled. I'm ready for winter!

My fiance doesn't think so, but I have always told her what a great cook she is. She makes unique dishes that are very healthy too. I think she should look into Cooking Jobs, or maybe even opening up her own restaurant. She would be very successful at it I'm sure. Either way, i guess it's nice that I still get to enjoy her meals even if she doesn't go into it for a living. I personally think she is one of the best cooks I've come across!!

I have so many birthday's coming up in the next few weeks, I hope that I remember them all. First are my twin brother and sister, their birthday is on the 21st of October, then my niece Kaelyn, who is on the 1st of November, then comes my nephew Emry on 13th of November, then it's my nephew Kaden on the 23rd of November. There is one drawback to having a pool in Northern Iowa, you can't really use it in the winter time. But you could if you had bought a pool heat pump at PoolSupplyUnlimited.com just for those cold winter day's that you want to take a dip. I have thought about mentioning it to my neighbors so we can enjoy his pool all year round.

I finally did it! I proposed and she said YES! The whole process was amazing and went great, it happened while we were out in California for he Grandpa's birthday party. Her brother's and us went on a walk through nature and that is where I did it. She was so surprised and we are so happen to be getting married sometime in the next year.

My girlfriend just recently got back from Africa where she was on a missions trip. She was gone for 6 weeks and didn't know how much I was going to miss her until she went away. The first day I could see her I greeted her with the biggest floral arrangement I could find. There is nothing like being in love, crazy in love.
