Dehumidifiers
When my sister moved into their house the basement dehumidifier came with it. After a while they noticed that their basement really had a bad smell. They decided to get rid of the unit and what do you know...the smell went away. They got a new one since there are times when they need to keep the humidity down in their basement, but have not had any smells since. I really think the one sold with the house was just old and not cleaned well throughout the years. Yuck!
