As I search online I can't believe how many ads I come across. Whether it's a pop up ad for Chicago personal injury lawyers or information on diet pills and rehab treatment programs. I don't mind some of the ads, but when it's the same thing over and over...it gets kind of old. Sometimes I wish I could just get online, do what I need to do and not have to worry about trying to dodge ads everywhere. Oh well, I guess that's the way it is. People need to advertise and make money the same way we all do, right?!

I don't know why, but I'm not feeling the best today. I haven't been getting enough sleep, and I have a headache...so I have a feeling those two things together are making me feel yucky! After work today I was going to go back to see my family...but maybe I should go back to my place...take a nap and get rested up for the weekend. I could always head back this evening still or even tomorrow morning. We'll have to see. Wow, where did the month of June go?! I was just sitting her trying to get some work done on the computer and can't believe that July is already in sight in just a week. That hardly seems possible!! I love my summers and really don't want to see it go by quite so quickly. I guess there's nothing I can do about it though, except just sit back and enjoy it as much as possible. Unfortunately where I live we only get a few months out of the year that are nice enough to really enjoy the outdoors. I wish it were longer, but we have to enjoy what we're given. Hopefully July and August won't go by quite as quickly as June has.
Speaking of time flying...I really need to get back to the work I have on the computer. I tend to get sidetracked when I am procrastinating on finishing work that I'm not at all interested in doing!

My little niece is so cute. My sister is really good to send us video of the things she is doing...and she recently sent a video of her laughing really hard. It was adorable. My sister and her husband were telling me recently that they really are wanting to get away for a few days this summer. They're seriously discussing the option of going to a zoo of some sort. I love it that my sister keeps me updated on how my little niece is doing. My brother does the same with his little guy. I hate getting headaches. Sometimes I wonder if it's from sitting all day, and then other times i wonder if it's my eyes. I seem to feel better when I remember to wear my glasses at work. I am really getting tired of all the junk mail I get in my inbox!! It never fails...if I go a day without checking my mail for one reason or another...I find hundreds of spam e-mails! So much so, that I actually find myself switching e-mail addresses a lot. I don't like doing this, as it is quite a pain to let everyone know my new e-mail address....but what can you do. The spam filters don't seem to do anything...as there are THOUSANDS of people sending spam mail each day!

I have been incredibly tired lately! Even though I'm on vacation, I still am not used to being so busy and going non-stop. This morning I woke up early as I always do...but decided that it would be nice to lay down for a little nap. I laid down and had to pull myself out of bed an hour later. I think I probably could have laid there much longer had I wanted to. Seeing how this is our last day in Texas though, I wanted to get up and spend as much time as I could with the fam. I can always nap on the plane and once I get home.
I get to dress up for work which is great! I never thought I'd like that part of my job, but turns out it's actually a lot of fun. There's something about dressing nicely that makes a person feel more confident and better about themselves. It's a great start to the day each morning. Since I have to dress up every day, I often find myself looking for deals on nice clothing. One item I still don't have enough of is shoes. Many of the people I work with wear the Ecco shoes most often. I am looking around to see if I can find a pair that I like and can afford. They're a very nice looking shoe.

At first I was dead set against getting a social networking account with any of the popular sites. I didn't see the point. I thought it would just be a waste of time, and something that people were just liking for a phase. After years of being prodded by my girlfriend and my sister about setting up an account, I finally did with Facebook. To my surprise I really like it! It's weird because I was talking to my sister who lives in Minnesota and she was telling me that the temps are nearing the 80's there!! While down in Texas we've been able to do a lot of fun things. I'm really just enjoying having a week off from work and being able to relax with the family! I've spent quite a bit of time with my niece up north, but hadn't gotten a lot of time to spend with my nephew here in Texas. We are having SUCH a blast down in Texas! We've been able to hang out by the pool....enjoy some sporting events and even check out a really cool zoo! Best of all we've been able to hang out with my brother, his wife, and my cute little nephew all week too!! Emry has gotten so big since the last time I saw him and he's such a sweetie. It's going to be sad to leave them on Saturday....but they'll be back in a couple weeks so I hope to see them then too. Here's a little clip of what we've been doing...

I am so glad that Renee was able to come down to Texas with me this summer! Other times she has not been able to, so it was nice that it worked out for both of us. She had never been here, so she's really enjoying it. We're both having fun with my brother, his wife...and of course my little nephew!! He's the best. He's always smiling and really in a good mood most of the time. He's a sweet little guy. I'm looking forward to him and my niece meeting again...they did when they were just newborns...but now it would be a lot of fun to see since they're getting older and more alert.
Sounds like the water is starting to recede back home. We're in Texas so I wasn't sure how all the flooding was doing...but in talking to some family and friends, it sounds like it's doing much better!! My poor town was one that was hit the hardest. Thankfully I am on a better part of town and in a top apartment. I don't know what I would have done if I had lost all of my things like some people I know! The flooding was just horrible! I'm glad it sounds like it's getting better...that's GREAT news!

The weather is sure hot here! Wow!! Back home it's been in the 60's and 70's, but here in Texas it's very warm. I knew it would be hotter than home, but didn't plan clothing for temps quite this hot. Oh well...it's better than being cold I guess. My sister was telling me that it was quite chilly there this morning at home. I told her I was sweating already at 8 in the morning!! She was jealous...and wants to come down to visit sometime too. Hopefully she will be able to...she'd have a good time!
We are having such a nice time in Texas. So far we've done some pretty fun things...and it sounds like we'll be able to do a lot more as the week goes on. Last night we went to a shooting range which I had never done before! That was a lot of fun. Now tonight we're going to a Rangers game, tomorrow six flags, the next day an aquarium and so much more! I can't wait. This vacation is so much fun...I know I'm not gonna want to leave when the weekend comes!

I found out recently that I will be doing quite a bit of traveling with my new job position. I'm really excited because I get to go to some really great places that I've never been before. I think we even get private jet charter for some of our trips. I just love my job. We're treated so well and get to do some really fun things!! It's definitely my dream job and one I'm so blessed to have. I can't wait to see all that's in store for me here at this company! I'm very fortunate to have a job I love at such a young age.

Ok..so typically I write about how excited I am that it's Friday..just because that means the weekend is upon us. However, today I am not only excited for that...but also because that means that tomorrow Renee and I fly out to Texas!!! YEAH! I get to see my brother and his family in about 24 hours and I couldn't be happier!! How exciting. We're there for a whole week and I can't wait. We're going to have so much fun. And best of all...I get to see my little nephew again.
It seems like this is the time of year that everyone I work with wants to go on vacation. There are some of us traveling within the US, while others are looking to travel over seas. Either way...it's great that so many of us are going to be able to get away for a little bit and relax. This will help to refresh us once we start back to work. I am going to Texas, but one guy I work with is actually looking into the Caribbean and Caribbean villa rentals! I thought that was pretty neat. I think Texas will be so much fun though, I can't wait!
When I graduated from college, to be honest...I really had no idea what I was going to do! I didn't know whether I would be working in sales, or doing something with my engineering degree. I had absolutely no idea what kinds of jobs were out there for me...that is, until John Deere came along. Now, I am happy to say that I have the job of my dreams! I couldn't ask for anything better. Before my engineering job came along, I thought I may have to look at Boston jobs or something. Thankfully it worked out so I could stay close to family and Renee! I am truly blessed!!
When I was in college I rarely dressed up. I would wear jeans and a t-shirt every where I went. Then, I graduated and that all changed. I now dress up for work...wearing dress pants and dress shirts. It's quite the change for me, but I really enjoy it!! It's fun dressing nice and going to work feeling good about the way you look. Since I dress up so much now, I've actually been looking at some men's jewelry...mainly watches, but there's also some really nice necklaces out there as well. We'll have to see, but I'm guessing I will get something here in the near future.
