| While I was at Jen and Scott's house last night I got to spend some time with my niece, Kaelyn. She was in a really good mood...and really enjoyed playing on her new mat that Scott's parents got for her. She loves all the toys, the music and all the colorful lights. It's a wonderful thing for her to build up her motor skills and define her eye coordination and other useful milestones that babies develop. She just laid there and cooed and smiled the whole time.

| Last night my parents went to see my brother and his wife who are staying with her parents. Emry had a dedication last night and then they had a surprise baby shower as well. I was home baby sitting zoe and had a really nice night. I spent most of my time up at my sister's house, and when I wasn't there I was at home on my computer trying to do some work on my new blogs. | I really had a great time last night. I was planning on just taking it easy and relaxing at my parents house, but my sister and her husband invited me to come visit them and my niece, Kaelyn. Renee came with me and we had such a nice time. I'm looking forward to going back up to see them over the holidays.

| Being from a small town in Iowa, I can't imagine moving to a big city like New York. Big cities like that move at such a fast pace that I would be spinning in circles. But if I had to move to New York I would use movers New York to help me move. This would relieve so much stress from me, and I would have to worry about parking or the many rules of New Yorks streets. This is the only way to go.

| My sister said that Kaelyn got a new play mat from Scott's Step Mom for Christmas. I guess it plays music and has lights...which Kaelyn really loves! They're really enjoying watching her play and laugh as she watches the lights and sees all the animals hanging down from it. It's a very nice gift! Kaelyn got a really nice high chair from my parents...something she will be needing before we know it and a jumperoo from Scott's mom which Kaelyn also really enjoys! I would say she had quite the nice Christmas!:)

| The Super Bowl is one of the most popular games for those who love football. My brother-in-law just loves everything about football, and would really enjoy going to the Super Bowl someday. | My sister and her husband bought a house recently. They live in a great neighborhood, but still would like some sort of a security system in place. | I finally got to meet my cute little nephew...what a sweetie!! I really have enjoyed all the time I've gotten to spend with him and my brother and his wife. Since they live in Texas, I don't get to see them a whole lot...so it was sure nice seeing them over the holidays. Emry is such a sweetie. He's grown so much from the newborn pics I've seen of him. I hope they come back often so I can see him more.

I would love to go on a vacation over the winter some time. I've been thinking about it a lot this year, and feel that a break from work and a nice relaxing vacation might be just what I need. I'm not talking a trip near home either...I've been thinking about looking into flights to South Africa. I've heard South Africa is beautiful, and I'd love to visit there sometime. Probably the one thing I'm most interested in spending time at their beautiful beaches and even the mountains. I'd like to visit the best of both worlds. | IT looks like the weather is going to be ok. I was a little worried this morning when I heard that it could ice and snow and stuff...but it's actually turning out to be a beautiful day. The snow is actually starting to melt a bit, which means it's getting warmer. Hopefully it will continue to warm up. I'd like to have snow for Christmas, but warmer temps. That would be my ideal holiday weather. We'll see if that's how it goes.

| One more day of work and I get two weeks off for the holidays. I hope that work goes by quickly tomorrow...as I'm really excited to get home and see my nephew and niece. | The weather sure has been nice lately. For a while there they were talking on the news like we may be getting some nasty weather this weekend. | Well, there's only two days left in my work week and I couldn't be happier!! This week thankfully has been going by pretty quickly, which is great...because after Friday, I have off two whole weeks for the holidays. I am SOOO excited. | My sister and brother-in-law recently bought their first home. Their home heats up pretty well during these bitter winter months...but they are finding that their basement is quite cold still, no matter how much their heat runs. Instead of turning up the heat just to try and heat the basement, they are looking for a room heater. I think this would be a wonderful Christmas present to buy them, so I've been looking online. | My sister said that Scott got their basement painted finally. I guess it looks SOOO much better. | I was talking with my sister this morning and I guess Scott is ringing bells for the Salvation Army today. I asked where...because sometimes those people have to stand outside in the freezing cold! | For the longest time I've been interesting in going to Las Vegas. It's been years since I was there, and I remember it being very nice! One thing that I remember most were all of the Las Vegas hotels....they were so big and unique...unlike anything I'd ever seen before. I'm not sure which one I would stay in...but I do know that it would be a wonderful trip for me to take sometime very soon. I could use a long weekend away just to relax and enjoy my time off from work.

| My sister and her husband bought a house a few months ago. They had never bought a house before so they went through the whole process for the first time. They told me all about getting a mortgage, finding a realtor and closing on the house. It's actually a very time consuming process and one that involves a lot of paperwork. | I have an older bed that was given to me by my parents. I am thankful to have a bed that I can use, but would definitely like to get a new one at some point. I'm thinking I wouldn't need a new frame, or even box spring...mainly just a new mattress. | Having lived in a college town for many years while I was in college and just working...I came across many people who rented out houses and apartments. | My sister recently sent me a whole bunch of pictures of my niece. She's only a month old...but every time I see pictures she seems to change so much!! | This winter I decided to rent out a garage so that my car didn't have to sit outside all winter. So far, even though winter is just starting, I really have found that I like having the option of putting my car in a garage. Now I don't have to get up extra early and go outside to start my vehicle so all of the ice melts off of it before I head to work or go somewhere. I just can go to the garage and drive away. It's so nice. I'll definitely appreciate this the entire winter!

| My sister was telling me about how Kaelyn is already a month old. She was born Nov. 1st...so she's actually past one month now. I guess they decided to video her on her one month birthday and they were so excited because she rolled over while they were videoing her. | I can't believe how cold it's been this week so far! I knew it would begin getting a little bit colder, as the snow is already here...but I sure didn't think it would be this bitter. | My brother-in-law is looking for one of those three stone anniversary rings for my sister. He wanted to get it for her for Christmas, but most likely will wait until he finds the perfect one to give her...so it may be after the holiday. He wants to find the perfect size and the perfect diamonds before he decides on any to buy. He's really good at buying jewelry...so I know whatever he gets her...she will just love!
